How push works
When you allow notifications, your device registers to receive push from Aster. You can be registered on more than one device, your phone and a browser, say, and you'll get push on each.
Push is most reliable in the mobile app (Android and iPhone). Supported browsers can show push too, but the app is the dependable option, see the app and the website.
Turning push on
- Allow notifications for Aster when your phone or browser asks. If you dismissed that prompt, enable notifications for Aster in your device's system settings.
- In the app, keep the master Push notifications switch on (see Preferences and quiet hours).
That's it, there's no device list to manage. Each device you sign in on and allow notifications for is registered automatically.
If push stops working
The Notification settings screen watches for the common failure and tells you about it right there: if your phone is blocking notifications, or this device never finished registering, you'll see a short warning with a Try again button. Tapping it re-attempts registration.
If nothing is arriving:
- Check your device's system notification settings for Aster, push can be blocked there even when the app's own switch is on.
- Confirm the master Push notifications switch is on and the specific type isn't muted.
- Check you're not inside your quiet hours window.
- Reopen the app, or tap Try again on the settings screen, to refresh this device's registration.
Good to know: even with push off or blocked, your in-app alerts list still records everything, so you can always catch up there.
