Signing in and staying signed in
Sign in with your email and password. That's the only way in today; Aster doesn't offer signing in with Google, Apple or any other account. Once you're in, you stay in. Aster does not log you out automatically, even if the network drops or something errors mid-activity. The only times your session ends are when you sign out, or if the app detects its saved login is corrupted on your device.
If your login ever needs refreshing, you'll see a small banner inviting you to sign in again, your ride or run and data stay safe on the device in the meantime.
Change your password
While signed in, go to Settings → Account. Enter your current password, then your new one (at least 8 characters) twice, and tap Change password.
Forgotten it? Sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to get a reset link by email (see Create an account).
Change your email
In Settings → Account, enter the new address and your password to confirm. A confirmation email goes to the new inbox, and the change takes effect once you confirm it there.
Sign out
Sign out from your profile. Signing out is blocked while you're actively tracking, so you can't accidentally end up logged out mid-event. Finish or stop your ride first.
Good to know
- One account covers every role: athlete, spectator, organiser, team member.
- Your password is never shown or sent in plain text.
- Watching a public event needs no account at all, see Who can see your location?.
- In rare cases support may disable an account (for example while sorting out a manual refund). A disabled account is turned away at sign-in rather than logged out mid-ride; get in touch if you hit this unexpectedly.
